Our 2022 events are now live!

Bostin’ Diablo Sportive 2021 – Cancelled

We are living in unprecedented times.
When the operation of cycle sportives became allowable, earlier this year, under the governments ‘organised sport’ provisions, we were determined to begin our Bostin’ Ride events as soon as possible so that all of our supporters who missed out riding our events in 2020 would be able to get out and about cycling in 2021 and some form of normality would return.
As each layer of lockdown was lifted and “Freedom Day” became closer we noticed that advanced bookings on our events declined. Understandably, people were finding other things to do with their time – be it days out, holidays or just visiting family and friends – rather than necessarily entering cycling events. Although, lockdown dates in England have slipped by another four weeks we have seen little improvement in advanced bookings and with only three weeks to go before our final event of the season, the Bostin’ Diablo on 11 July, we have only 21 riders entered and have no great anticipation that bookings will increase sufficiently to give the event atmosphere or make it financially viable.
This means that, for the first time in Bostin’ history, we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel one of our events, the Bostin’ Diablo 2021 Sportive.
Anyone who has entered this event will have their entry fee refunded over the next week or so and we can only apologise for any inconvenience.
This will mean that our last scheduled event of the year will be the Bostin’ Vyrnwy Velo Sportive on 27 June, which has strong entry numbers and will hopefully be a fitting end to this difficult season. If you have not already entered then please come along and join us in beautiful Wales! See https://bostinride.com/bostin-vyrnwy-velo-sportive/ for full details. #bostinride
